The TMEC Manufacturing Centre of Excellence offers access to three well-appointed meeting and training rooms as well as hot desk spaces. Situated at 13 Wellington Street South Burnie, our location is out of the CBD and enjoys easy access from the Bass Highway with ample free parking in the vicinity.

The Think Tank

Our open learning training room can accommodate larger groups and can be configured to your requirements. There are adjoining spaces that can be utilised for breakout groups if required. The Think Tank can currently accommodate 44 people (allowing 2m2 per person) (dependent upon room configuration and setup).

There are a number tilt top tables that can be reconfigured as required. Facilities include access to 360-degree smart video conferencing camera and microphone, wireless internet, 75 inch LED stand mounted television (HDMI and Bluetooth connectivity) and whiteboard.

The Collaboration Room

The Collaboration Room can currently accommodate 22 people dependent on configuration. This fully enclosed room is perfect for breakout sessions or for discreet meetings and discussions.

Facilities include access to 360 degree smart video confrencing camera and microphone, wireless internet, 65 inch LED wall mounted television (HDMI and bluetooth connectivity), whiteboard, data projector and projection screen.

The Innovation Zone

This is a large space, with multi configurations available, theatre style, and can accommodate a maximum 50 people.

Facilities include access to 360-degree smart video conferencing camera and microphone, wireless internet, 75 inch LED stand mounted television (HDMI and Bluetooth connectivity) and whiteboard.

Catering

Unlimited tea and coffee is included. For morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, hirers are welcome to arrange their own catering however we’re also happy to recommend some nearby caterers.

Room Setup

We request any changes to room configuration are undertaken by the hirer and then returned to position at the end of the booking. Where possible, and if available, we’ll offer access the day prior to your booking for setup.

Clean Up

We require all hirers to ensure the rooms are left clean and tidy and that all food, plates, cups and water bottles are cleared away and recycled where possible. We may charge a fee if additional cleaning is necessary.

Induction

We will forward a site induction slide pack on confirmation of your booking. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and are familiar with and agree to comply with the information in the pack for the safety of your guests.
