International Welding Inspector – Basic Training

An intensive program preparing individuals to become certified International Welding Inspectors, proficient in ensuring welding quality based on international standards.

As a Welding Inspector, you will play an important part in ensuring that welded components comply with the appropriate International or Australian Standards, codes, and client specifications. You may also be responsible for ensuring that documentation, procedures, and welder qualifications (required to demonstrate compliance) are in place and adhered to.

The IWI-B course is a globally recognised International Institute of Welding (IIW) qualification. This course provides general knowledge of welding, inspection theory and application, including:

  • Non-destructive testing
  • Mechanical and visual inspection techniques
  • Inspection procedures and acceptance criteria
  • Identification of weld imperfections.

Course Basics
The IWI-B is a course at the TMEC Advanced Welding Cenre in South Burnie across 5 days.

  • 15th - 20th April 2024
  • 7th  - 12th October 2024

Non-Member $2869.25

IWI-B Examination Fees paid to Weld Australia
All examination fees listed below are paid directly to Weld Australia. All examinations are conducted after the course has been completed.
