Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing and Energy Council (TMEC) and SRTA Life and Rescue Training Organisation (SRTA) are pleased to announce a formal partnership to provide Industry training further strengthening and underpinning TMEC’s commitment to workforce development.

The partnership brings together STRA’s suite of nationally accredited training and TMEC’s trainer, Ivan Markota to provide high-impact training relevant to our sectors.

Ivan Markota will assist SRTA with the delivery of training aligned to his vocational experience for North West Coast businesses through SRTA’s public and private course offerings such as:

✔️ Work and Enter a Confined Space
✔️ Gas Test Atmospheres
✔️ First Aid & CPR

We are equally pleased to announce this collaborative partnership ensures the ongoing continuity of TMEC’s Mining and Manufacturing Career Awareness Program, delivered in schools across Tasmania.

Over the last 12 mths, this successful program has seen over 2290 students engaged across 57 senior secondary schools and 12 career expos with numerous apprenticeship outcomes and work experience opportunities brokered.

Joel Blomhoff, Training Manager, SRTA said SRTA Life & Rescue is proud to partner with TMEC to deliver nationally accredited training. The signing of this MOU will allow TMEC Members statewide training solutions that are affordable, industry-specific and relevant. SRTA Life & Rescue believe this partnership will revolutionise the delivery of training through partnerships in Tasmania.

In conjunction with the partnership, SRTA will offer TMEC members a discount on all public and private training courses. To access this discount, members will need to disclose they are a member of TMEC at the time of booking.
