Friday 6 November was a significant day for the TMEC Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (MCOE). The Minister for Advanced Manufacturing, Jeremy Rockliff MP officially opened this wonderful facility (see below for the launch video). The MCOE has truly evolved into a vibrant, high traffic environment, equipped with start of the art training equipment. Our facility now offers a new membership lounge; plus the Community View, Collaboration, and Innovation training rooms; and conference venue.

TMEC welcomed UTAS to our facility in early 2020. The UTAS OEM facility provides an important link to ongoing learning and creates physical connections between industry and students looking to gain employment, or innovate and develop products that will drive advanced manufacturing into the future.

We pay our respects to the palawa and pakana, the original and enduring custodians of the land and waters upon which we work, live, and love: Trouwunna/Lutruwita (Tasmania). We respect their resilience over uncountable generations and acknowledge the wisdom of elders past, present, and emerging. As residents today, we are fortunate to see those traditions reestablished and share a deeper connection physically and spiritually with Country together.
