How to decarbonise the biggest trucks in Tasmania, how to enable critical goods currently being imported and can be made locally, what do investors expect from businesses to secure funding, what do project proponents need to do to engage constructively with the community, what do prospective employees expect from employers are just some of the questions which will be answered at Tasmania’s Premier Business Conference on 26th and 27th July.

Devonport’s Paranaple Centre will host over one hundred twenty conference delegates attending the two-day event hosted by the Tasmanian Minerals Manufacturing and Energy Council (TMEC).

The delegates will hear from local and interstate subject matter experts across a broad range of topics. The application of the “big data” capability will be demonstrated in the fields of exploration, manufacturing and business services. Leadership remains a key theme and this year’s speakers will share insights from leading an Antarctic expedition as well as managing a cyber security breach crisis.

Ray Mostogl, CEO of TMEC said, “This year’s conference will blend answering some of the big questions which need answers for the next 5 years with updates from most of Tasmania’s resources and manufacturing CEO’s who are on the verge of a major project starting and these will substantially change the dynamics of additional employees needed, additional service providers as well as added requirements on housing, health and education services.” Ray went on to say, “With a range of Ministers and senior state officials attending at different stages we know the decision makers will be there to listen.”
