In local punnilerpanner language, “paranaple” means “gathering place” and refers to the mouth of the Mersey River as it flows through Devonport to Bass Strait.

The essence of paranaple reflects past, present and future; communicating a welcoming experience to both visitors and the Devonport community alike.
Proudly embracing this concept, our 2025 Conference venue serves as a riverside venue for coming together, sharing ideas, and igniting inspiration.

We pay our respects to the palawa and pakana, the original and enduring custodians of the land and waters upon which we work, live, and love: Trouwunna/Lutruwita (Tasmania). We respect their resilience over uncountable generations and acknowledge the wisdom of elders past, present, and emerging. As residents today, we are fortunate to see those traditions reestablished and share a deeper connection physically and spiritually with Country together.
